To recognise the importance of serving local businesses and individuals, BUT adhering to government guidelines and keeping everyone as safe as possible I will be operating a “Drive-through” contactless Notarial service from Littlebourne, Canterbury.

 

During the emergency Clients will be asked to:

provide documents to me in advance electronically.

exchange all information in advance by email /telephone/ skype or equivalent to minimise the time spent with the Notary in person

arrange the signing of the notarial document.  Clients will be invited to park outside my office window, which will operate as a kiosk.    The meeting can take place with limited contact from within your car and with the notary watching at a safe distance/ through the window.  The notary will then take the papers and ID into the office to complete the document for you to take away.  Electronic copies can also be emailed to you to forward overseas

Any legalisation requirements may be restricted at this time as offices/embassies close or restrict access.

Please note during this time refreshments and toilet facilities will not be available and the notary may request you use hand gel and bring your own pen.  Due to change in Government guidelines, Notary personnel may wear face masks and / or gloves during the course of the transaction.

 

This means of service is approved by the Notaries Society.

 

Regrettably I am unable to travel to other locations during the course of the lockdown.

 

No two days are ever the same as a notary, but today I swapped the suit for high-vis and a hard hat. The office was on board a cargo ship, around the captain’s table and I had to resort to basics.... a fully handwritten statement to document a Statement of Sea Protest. 

 

Storm Ciara had not been kind to this Motor Vessel and it’s cargo, but despite what must have been an awful time for the crew over the last few days I was given a wonderful experience on board.  A great insight into the reality of how our fruit and veg hits the supermarket shelves.
